Platform & Operations Engineer

Engineering-minded professional with a background in production operations, platform delivery, and software development. I build toward reliability - automated pipelines, observable systems, and production-grade infrastructure that is built for resilience.

About Me

I am a platform and operations engineer with two years of production experience at BNY's Investment and Wealth Management division. My background sits at the intersection of operational reliability and software delivery - I've spent time on both sides of that line and understand how they depend on each other.

On the operations side, I spent over a year in a 24/7 production environment monitoring 100+ application environments, managing incidents end-to-end, serving as the team's required approval authority for production server access via CyberArk PAM, and contributing to a large-scale job scheduler migration from ESP/mainframe to Control-M. On the delivery side, I owned the JIRA backlog and UAT process for an enterprise Dynamics 365 CRM platform - conducting discovery calls with LOB stakeholders, writing requirements, running testing cycles, presenting findings to stakeholders, and signing off on production releases.

I'm drawn to systems thinking - understanding how components connect, where failure propagates, and how to build toward reliability rather than just react to it. I have been building my own infrastructure stack: a multi-environment CI/CD pipeline, an automated health check system running every five minutes via GitHub Actions, a REST API built with Python and FastAPI, and a structured postmortem for a real infrastructure issue I investigated and resolved.

Currently pursuing an accelerated B.S./M.S. in Computer Science at WGU, projected graduation Fall 2026.

Projects

A selection of projects in platform engineering, observability, and software development - deployed across dev, qa, and prod environments with CI/CD, AWS infrastructure, and automated monitoring.
